The AP is reporting that in Guantanamo Bay, Iraq, and Afghanistan, detainees of the U.S. government are being tortured by the music that American's listen to for pleasure. Ranging from AC/DC to Queen, Pantera, Eminem and Dr. Dre, Rage Against The Machine, and even the I Love You Barney song, music is blasted full-volume up to 16 hours at a time as a means of breaking prisoners. - Governors Want Stimulus Money From Obama
At the beginning of the month, Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich told the press that U.S. governors are seeking up to $100 billion to be added to any proposed federal stimulus plan to cover state costs. Blagojevich was one of 48 governors who met with Obama this month to request assistance in a nearly two-hour meeting in Philadelphia, PA.
